Lyra Animation Studios
Role: Rigging Artist / Animator
Timeline: 3 months (Fall 2017)
Platform: Projection Mapping - Animation Film
Software: Maya
Lyra Studio is an animation project at Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center. We are creating an animated short film using projection mapping technology. Utilizing the strengths of this medium, we have produced an engaging narrative by blending spatial augmented reality with the use of real objects on a tabletop setting.
The story is about a sticky note coming to life and going on a journey by interacting with the objects in the environment around it.
My Contributions:
As the project involved a story based on origami characters, it gave me an interesting rigging challenge. Having rigged hard surface and organic models, preparing a rig for a model that moves like paper, while retaining the characteristics of the organic creature was very challenging. I rigged all the characters and created the animations for all the sequences with the paper including its transformation into a bunny.
Ripieno - Melody of Life
Role: Rigging Artist / Animator
Timeline: 3 months (Spring 2017)
Platform: VR / 360 Animation Film
Software: Maya, MotionBuilder
Ripieno is an animation project focusing on cultural identity through song and dance. It is a 360° animated short that tells the story of Manny, a brand new doll who is trying to figure out his own method of self-expression by learning dances from the other dolls in the workshop. Through spatial sound, motion capture, and careful cultural research, we created an immersive and impactful narrative that explores the potential of directing story in the virtual reality space.
My Contributions:
As the rigging artist and the animator, I was responsible for integrating motion capture data into the rigs. Within a very short span of time, I implemented 21different motion capture sequences into the rigs. I was also responsible for cleaning up the animations and creating seamless motion.

Role: 3D Modeller /Lighting Artist/ Designer
Timeline: 2 weeks (March - 2016)
Platform: PC
Software: Sketch up/Auto-Cad/Lumion 5.0/i-movie
The sacrificial chamber is one of my passion projects to learn environment design and to take a model or a design through the pipeline by myself. I designed an environment which has 3 levels
